Shopping Spree!

Monday we went shopping with the orphanage Dr. to buy much needed toys. There is a toy store near the orphanage that gives them a 40% discount. It was the most fun shopping trip we have ever been on! She picked out a bunch of great items, and we approved each one. We also added few things to the list that we felt the children could use. We spent over an hour and a half shopping and they still granted us our 2 hour visit. We didn’t get back to the hotel until 7:00. We are so thankful for everyone’s time given to us today. We feel so blessed. In the end we purchased:

8 play wheel barriers for outside
10 large rakes
6 tricycles
50 or so activity books for children Stasi’s age to do more academic stuff. (I was thrilled about this!)
Over 100 books
Packs and packs of markers and crayons
8 swings for the yard
20 or so bathtime books to make baths more fun
2 bounce houses for outside
Pump for the bounce house
10 oversize balls for outside and for therapy inside
3 play baby strollers
20 or so dolls of various sizes
2 huge boxes of oversize leggos
Huge train mat and a couple of train sets
A dozen or so play cars and trucks

We also retained some of the money to buy shoes and underwear. With the leftover money we bought 8 new pair of shoes and 50 new pairs of underwear. This is what YOUR money purchased and we are so thankful and grateful to all of you for entrusting us to use it wisely, and, in the end, to bless the children and to honor the Lord. We are so thankful that we got to do this on your behalf. This was the best way we could possibly say, “Thank you for taking care of our sons until we could take them home”. We love all of you for helping us do just that!

Very, very awesome! WOW! Talk about getting more for your money. How great that the director went with you, to be able to pick things out, and for the discount. So awesome to know the kids at the orphanage will be blessed by these gifts.

Wow! The list just keeps going. They are going to love all of those things. It's like Christmas in July! What a blessing.
